God: God the creator of All life; He created the heavens and earth void of darkness and sin.
Romans 1:20–21 (NASB) — 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Sin: However, God’s plan was disrupted by Satan, tempting man into disobedience. Because of man’s disobedience, sin was introduced into the world. From generation to generation, the sin nature was passed down to all of humanity. Severing our relationship back to the creator God.
Romans 3:23 (NASB) — 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 5:12 (NASB) — 12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned
Jesus: It was always God’s plan to reconcile us back to Him. God sent His one and only Son, Jesus to be crucified and then raised again the third day. He suffered the penalty that was rightfully ours. Why did he do this? The Bible says in love Jesus came for the sinner to give eternal life.
Romans 5:8 (NASB) — 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23 (NASB) — 23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Response: Jesus stands knocking at the door. We need only to open the door. He calls us to a response. This is what you must do - Confess, repent, and believe. The Bible says if you (1) confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord and (2) believe with your heart of Jesus, you shall be saved. Confessing Jesus as Lord means that you recognize His rightful authority over us. Confessing also means to repent of your sins. Repentancerequires the “change of one’s mind towards sin” or a change in the direction of your life. No longer are you living for yourself but living for God. Believemeans to trust. You trust in the work of Christ rather than in the work of your life for your salvation. Trusting in His work alone for our salvation. We do this by help of the Holy Spirit, empowering us to be more like Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9–10 (NASB) — 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;10 for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Romans 8:12–14 (NASB) — 12 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Believe upon Jesus this day!!
